Can I stay in Thailand continuously for all five years on a DTV?
No. Five years is the multiple-entry visa validity, not a continuous stay. MFA materials state up to 180 days per entry, with one extension of up to another 180 days for that entry. After the maximum period, departure is required before a new entry under a still-valid DTV.
Must I keep THB 500,000 in my account for the whole DTV validity?
The official threshold concerns financial evidence for assessment. It should not be presented as a universal obligation to maintain THB 500,000 throughout all five years. Immigration may request updated financial evidence for an extension.
Can a DTV stay be extended inside Thailand for another 180 days?
Yes, the official DTV framework provides one extension of up to 180 days per entry through Immigration. The current document checklist and local-office procedure should be checked before filing.
Why do groups say leaving and re-entering is easier than extending DTV?

Can I work for a Thai company on DTV?
DTV Workcation is designed for digital nomads, remote workers, foreign talent and freelancers. DTV itself should not be treated as permission for ordinary employment by a Thai employer; separate visa/work-authorization rules apply.
Can I apply for DTV while inside Thailand?
The official Thai e-Visa route is for applicants outside Thailand. The responsible diplomatic mission also determines jurisdiction and evidence of current location.
Can a brokerage or investment account satisfy the THB 500,000 evidence?
There is no universal answer for every mission. MFA sets the financial threshold, while the responsible embassy or consulate determines acceptable evidence format.
Do I need to show Workcation evidence again for a DTV extension?
