The Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu has issued a clarification advising Nepalese travelers to submit their visa applications at least one month before their intended departure date. This is due to processing delays caused by incomplete applications and insufficient supporting documents. Applicants with a complete set of documents can expect a visa decision within 7 to 10 working days. Applications must be submitted through the official Thailand e-Visa website (www.thaievisa.go.th) with a passport valid for at least six months, a recent photograph, proof of current location, bank statements for the past three months, flight tickets, and accommodation details. Additional documents depend on the visa category and the purpose of the trip.
