Whether a traveller needs a tourist visa depends on passport/travel-document nationality and the planned stay. Application process The official e-Visa workflow is: create an account, complete the application, upload supporting documents, pay the visa fee, wait for processing and receive the e-Visa confirmation electronically if approved. Approval Every application is subject to approval. The responsible Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General may request additional documents or an interview, and submission does not guarantee issuance. Location rule The official Thai e-Visa portal states that applicants can apply through e-Visa only while they are outside Thailand.
