What the 90-day report is
A foreign national permitted to stay temporarily who remains in Thailand for more than 90 days is subject to periodic address notification under the TM47 process.
Not a visa extension
The official TM47 form expressly states that the 90-day notification is not an extension of stay.
Online option
Immigration provides an online 90-day reporting system. The official online guide states that the next online notification can be submitted within 15 days before the due date.
Review
An online submission is reviewed by Immigration. If it is not approved, the official guide directs the applicant to contact the nearest Immigration office.
Travel
Departure from Thailand affects the reporting cycle; the next reporting obligation should be calculated from the applicable immigration record after return.
Keep the receipt
Evidence of the completed notification should be retained with the immigration records.
