Thailand Privilege FAQ
Questions are taken from QuickWiki visa categories. Factual claims follow the wiki text and official-source baseline; mission and Immigration-office lists can differ.
What is Thailand Privilege?
Thailand Privilege (formerly Thailand Elite) is an official membership programme with a Privilege Entry (PE) visa and service privileges. It is not an investment visa based on a THB 10 million investment and not a visa for buying property.
Can I work on Thailand Privilege / Elite?
A standard Elite/Privilege card does not give a Work Permit for a Thai employer. Official materials state that PE holders may not work or study in Thailand as a right of membership. Remote work for a foreign employer is not the same as authorised Thai employment.
Can family members get Thailand Privilege as well?
Some membership levels include dependants — spouse, parents and children — each receiving their own Privilege visa on the programme terms. Confirm the current family packages with Thailand Privilege before payment.
Are membership years the same as the stay stamp?
Membership length and the stay stamped by Immigration are not the same thing. Plan travel by the current PE visa, the last entry stamp and the current programme rules.
